Restoration Hardware, Cotswolds

4th October 2023

RH (formally Restoration Hardware), an American high-end lifestyle brand, have opened their first hospitality destination in the UK. It is the first of their global expansion plans with more opening in countries such as Germany and France.

This new immersive experience is located in the Costwolds within the magnificent Aynho Park, a 400-year-old, 73-Acre landmark estate that dates back to the 17th-Century.

Upon arrival you are instantly made to feel welcome. Greeted at the entrance, your car is valet parked, leaving you to calming saunter into the property where you are offered a bottle of water at the beginning of your experience.

The vista just beyond the entrance, from one of the large lounges is breath-taking and on a sunny day, a perfect spot to sit outside and let your soul breathe. You may even be lucky enough to see the White Head deer grazing in the countryside.

RH England have designed the 60 rooms beautifully. Adjacent spaces of furniture and decor belong to the same family of design / material / colour palette making it easy to select complimentary furnishings.

The spaces are immense and the products are tailored to the high-end market due to the scale of the items and the look & feel.

The furniture takes on a neutral palette with varying tones of timbers and stones. Crown-cut, straight grains, burr and fluted timbers are among the details.

Carefully curated artwork and objects finish off the interiors beautifully and help the visitors imagine these spaces within their own homes as a whole.

We enjoyed a lunch in the Orangery overlooking the panoramic views of The Deer Park and bucolic landscape beyond.

A modern menu, offering some refreshingly healthy and delicious options, I ordered the beet carpaccio with goats cheese, frisee and cider vinaigrette and my husband ordered the wagyu ribeye.

The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were …
