Art’otel, Battersea

Located right next to the Battersea Power Station, this hotel fuses art, design & hospitality.
The interiors are bold and playful throughout with curved joinery, block, glossy colours, sculptural lighting, over-sized artwork and shelving dressed with interesting objects. There is plenty to look at and you could easily spend the day lounging around and people watching.
The unique art is has been created by Jamie Haydon and it helps to shape and style the hotel lobby, guestrooms and suites.
Guestrooms unapologetically carry a similar bold energy as the public spaces, exploding with character within feeling overpowering or fussy.
The 15th floor houses the bar and restaurant - Joia, and the 16th floor showcases the sheltered cocktail bar, gardens and hotel pool with THE most incredible view overlooking Battersea Power Station. Its feels so close that you could almost reach out and touch it!
From the 16th floor you have access to 360 degree views over London.
I stopped at Joia for lunch. Joia means ‘jewel’ in Portuguese and boy did it stand up to its name! It was created by award-winning chef Henrique Sa Pessoa and offers Portuguese and Iberian cuisine.
The restaurant interiors still take on a playful feel however the colour palette is more neutral and calming, taking on more natural materials of timber and stone, paired with dusky pinks and oranges.
The view just one floor down from the roof is again, and incredible backdrop for your lunch and I would highly recommend stopping by (with a reservation of course).
The bar on this floor is located down a few stairs and I am told is a pretty hot spot to dance the night away to the live DJ with a cocktail in hand.
The hotel has two restaurants
Tozi Grand Cafe (sister to Tozi, London) is an all day dining cafe located on the ground floor and Joia located on the 15th floor.
